Who we are
Crescent Grappling Academy ("we", "us") runs Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes at the Central Mosque of Brent, 41 Station Parade, London NW2 4PU. We are responsible for the personal information you give us. Contact: info@crescentgrappling.com.
What we collect
- Name of the person training, with their date of birth (juniors) or age group (adults).
- For under-18s, the parent or guardian's name and relationship to the child.
- Email address and, optionally for adults, a phone number.
- An emergency contact name and phone number (required for juniors, optional for adults).
- Any injuries, medical conditions or additional needs you choose to tell us about.
- Your booking (class and date), your agreement to our participation agreement, and whether you consent to photos and video.
Why we use it
- To manage bookings and class numbers, and to contact you about your booking (the lawful basis is performance of our agreement with you).
- To keep people safe in class and to contact your emergency contact if something happens (legitimate interests and, for health information, your explicit consent, which you give by entering it).
- To keep a record that the participation agreement was accepted (legitimate interests).
- To use photos or video of you or your child, only if you have opted in (consent).
We do not sell your information or use it for third-party marketing.
Where it is stored and for how long
Bookings are stored in a private Google Sheet in the academy's Google account (Google acts as our data processor). Only the academy's coaches can see it. We keep booking records for up to 3 years after your last class, because injuries can be reported some time after they happen, and then delete them. Health information is deleted sooner if you ask.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw consent for photos or health information at any time, by emailing us. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. If you tick "remember my details", your details are saved only in your own browser on that device so the form fills in next time. The location map is provided by Google Maps, which may set its own cookies when it loads.
